Study Aim: This study aimed to compare selected physiological variables between football and basketball players to assess differences in their physical fitness profiles.
Material and Methods: A total of 110 male athletes, including 55 football players and 55 basketball players, were selected. Resting pulse rate and peak flow rate were the key variables analyzed. Measurements followed standardized procedures, and G*Power software was used to determine the sample size.
Statistical Techniques: Independent t-tests were used to compare groups. Statistical significance was set at p≤ 0.05.
Results: No significant differences were observed in resting pulse rate and peak flow rate between football and basketball players.
Conclusions: Both football and basketball players demonstrated comparable levels of resting pulse rate and peak flow rate, suggesting similar physiological adaptations.
