The impact of physical activity on mental health in college students

Abstract:

College life often presents significant challenges and stressors that can impact the mental health of students. This research paper explores the relationship between physical activity and mental health in college students. It examines the physiological and psychological mechanisms through which exercise influences mental well-being, including stress reduction, anxiety management, and depression alleviation. Additionally, the paper explores factors influencing physical activity participation among college students and the role of campus-based interventions in promoting positive mental health outcomes. The findings highlight the importance of integrating physical activity into college life as a key strategy to support the mental well-being of students.
